1) Will my monitor be visible outdoors in bright sunlight?
All of our monitors feature anti-glare/anti-reflective screens and high brightness. This makes them extremely visible when working outdoors or in brightly-lit environments.
2) What video formats do your monitors support?
Our 5” and 6.4” monitors support 4:3 standard video. Our 7” can support both 4:3 standard and 16:9 widescreen. None of our monitors support anamorphic format without the use of an anamorphic squeezer.
3) Will my monitor take a PAL signal?
Most of our monitors are NTSC/PAL compatible, and offer either auto or manual switching between the two signals. The only exception is the NEB64G series, which comes in either NTSC or PAL standards.
4) What type of power supplies can I use with my monitor?
Most of our monitors have a 12 Volt, 2.1mm female DC In (center-pin positive) connection for use with DC wall adapters. The only exception is our NEB64G series which has a 12 Volt, 1.3mm female DC In.
Our PRO Box offers a 12 Volt, 2.1mm female DC In (center-pin positive) connection, 4-Pin XLR female connection (12v~30V) and 6-Pin Hirose female connection (12V~30V).
5) Can you mount a PRO Connector box on my monitor?
Adding a NEBTEK PRO Connector box modification depends solely on the monitor being modified. It can be added to some, but not all of the TFT/LCD brands out on the market today. Pricing for this modification varies according to the brand of monitor and time it takes to modify it. Please contact a sales representative to see if this option is available to you.
6) Can you mount a Lithium-ion Battery Adapter to my monitor?
Adding a Li-battery Adapter depends solely on the monitor being modified. It can be added to some, but not all of the TFT/LCD brands out on the market today. Pricing for this modification is generally $135 USD, but it can vary according to the brand of monitor and time it takes to modify it. Please contact a sales representative to see if this option is available to you.
7) Can a Lithium-Ion Battery Adapter be used to power any other equipment?
Yes. Our Lithium-ion Battery Adapters can power any 12V device up to 1.2 Amps. It has a 2.1mm DC plug (male, center-pin positive), and we can manufacture a connector cord up to 6 ft. in length.
8) Does my monitor come with a mount?
No. NEBTEK monitors do not include a mount. We have a wide variety of monitor mounts available, and our sales representatives will gladly help you find the best mounting option for your particular camera.
9) Does my monitor come with a connector cable?
Certain NEBTEK monitors do have connector cables supplied and others do not. Please check the monitor description to see if it offers a connector cable.
10) Does my Lithium-ion powered monitor come with a battery?
No. NEBTEK Li-powered monitors do not include a battery. We do have a small stock of Lithium-ion batteries available for our customers should they require one, but they are an additional item.
11) Why can I only purchase NEBTEK products at your Salt Lake City location?
Our offices in Van Nuys and Portland are reserved exclusively for our Digital Video Assist, 24 Frame Playback, Power-Pod and Jimmy-Jib work.
Our Salt Lake office is our main office and handles all the NEBTEK LCD sales and service, as well as providing all of the above production services.
